Virginia Newcomb – Hollywood is not the Limit

Today, in our first post on filmmakers and actors, we’d like to introduce a promising Southern actor you’ll soon recognize in many places at once if you haven’t already spotted her: Virginia Newcomb.

Born in Memphis, Tennessee, Virginia Newcomb pursued the creative life from the start. She began acting while growing up in Alabama, attended Jacksonville State University in Drama, then studied acting at The Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in Los Angeles.

With 12 years of experience in LA, including appearances on The Office, CSI and other TV shows as well as a number of lead film roles, she’s recently been working around the Southeast. In the past year, she’s portrayed a female Marine in “Three Fingers,” a Civil War bride in “Union,” and lead characters in “Reparation” and “Abductee.”

To give a little more perspective on the reel above, some of the video came from this music video, produced by Paul D. Hart.

Here, on her website, is some of her recent work. Cameras seem very happy with her and I think audiences will like her just as much.

I think we can expect to see Virginia Newcomb in many interesting films in the years to come. Look for our upcoming Esoteric Orange interview with Virginia in a few weeks.
